once upon a time

my mother decided

that it would be the last time

she put up a christmas tree

decades passed since then

without a glimpse of christmas light

flickering in our home

the day after the funeral is the funeral.

you left me too soon

happiness all year long
then the unexpected anticlimax
the one you wouldn't wish on anybody
the cursed one
the unsaid goodbye one
the missed opportunity one
on the verge where i thought
i was done healing
joke's on me and my even deeper wounding

Anak Bumi

 

Angkasa memecah lautan

Ombak sudah mencapai langit

Mega-mega berbaris laksana serdadu menantikan perintah:

Anak Bumi memperhatikan dengan seksama

Sebentar lagi ibuku mati -

hanya menantikan detak-detak detik yang berlalu

tanpa ada rencana untuk kembali

ranjau.

 

Tapak-tapak berbahaya
Rasanya begitu kuat memilah daging manusia
Jangan sampai ujung jarimu mengenainya
Nanti kau menghilang
